Mickey Smith has been collecting contemporary jewellery since 1987, driven by a deep appreciation for unique, handmade, wearable works from around the world. As collector, maker and occasional metalsmith, her practice has led to longstanding relationships with exceptional jewellers from Auckland to Minneapolis to Paris.
Working directly with these makers, in late 2025 Mickey introduced a unique, curated selection of handmade works, available exclusively offline – only available via intimate gatherings focused on around connection, conversation, and collection. A personal passion project, all Hand Luggage events are presented by Mickey.
